Workshop: “She doesn’t listen” | Why kids don't follow directions, and ideas to try tonight

You've asked her three times to get ready for bed. She is standing right there. She clearly can hear you. And yet…nothing.

It feels like defiance. It feels like disrespect. It feels like you want to scream, sometimes.

This free workshop is about what's actually happening when kids don't follow directions (it's not what we think). We'll talk about why some kids genuinely can't shift gears mid-Lego, why "get ready" isn't a direction her brain can use, and why the standard advice (firmer voice, bigger consequences, promises of stickers) often makes things worse. We'll also talk about what to do instead: not a parenting program or list of things you have to do perfectly, but real-life strategies you can try tomorrow.

No judgment, no implying that the real problem is your tone of voice. Sweatpants & questions are welcome.

You don't need to have been here before. You don't need to have it together (that's kind of the point).
